This week, ITPC returned to St. James’ Soup Kitchen, continuing our mission to build trusting, healthy relationships with the community. Together, we’re fostering connection one bowl of soup at a time.
In The People’s Corner (ITPC) is a grassroots organization committed to advocating for racial equality by addressing health disparities in Los Angeles County. We focus on serving underserved and disengaged homeless populations, providing a wide range of free health services to those in need. These services include arranging physician appointments for individuals without insurance, distributing face masks, hand sanitizer, food, and clothing, performing basic wound care, and conducting screenings for STIs. We are a team of health professionals dedicated to staying connected with and supporting communities that are often overlooked, ensuring they receive the care and attention they deserve.
We are both humbled and honored to be recognized by Mayor Davila of South Gate for our ongoing efforts to make a difference in the community. This recognition serves as a reminder of the power of collective action and the importance of addressing health disparities, particularly in underserved communities. Thank you to everyone who has supported us along the way—together, we’re creating a more equitable future for all.
