December brought another round of impactful Louie’s Clinics at MacArthur Park and St. James Episcopal Church, where ITPC continued to foster trust and provide essential health services to the community.
February’s Louie’s Clinic expanded its reach across Los Angeles, connecting with new friends and communities in need of support and care.
While HIV diagnosis rates have declined overall and across all racial and gender groups, significant inequities remain. Alarmingly, HIV diagnoses have risen among persons experiencing homelessness, with Black/African American cisgender men and cisgender women continuing to face the highest rates of new cases.
Our incredible partners at Wesley Health Center continue to make a tremendous impact at our monthly mobile clinic. They provide essential HIV and syphilis testing along with counseling for HIV pre-exposure (PrEP) and post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP).
Today, we returned to South Gate to walk the riverbeds, continuing our mission to educate, advocate, and arrange for the unhoused community to receive the COVID vaccine. It’s a crucial part of our efforts to ensure that those most vulnerable to the virus have access to the protection they need.

Today at ITPC Louie’s Clinic, we had another successful day of service, making a real difference in the lives of those who need it most. Not only were we able to provide food, clothing, wound care, and general health screenings, but we also took additional steps to connect individuals with long-term healthcare solutions. One of our participants was even able to secure a primary care doctor appointment for Monday, ensuring they’ll have the support they need to manage their health moving forward.
We are thrilled to share that we had another successful day at Louie’s Clinic! The event was made possible by the generous donations and the dedicated support of our volunteers. Together, we were able to provide much-needed services and resources to the LA community, impacting lives and bringing people closer to the healthcare they deserve.
We are so incredibly thankful for the amazing individuals who came out this week to support our efforts. Their dedication, compassion, and hard work are what make our initiatives possible and impactful. Whether it was helping distribute essential items, assisting with COVID-19 vaccinations, or simply offering a helping hand, these volunteers have played a vital role in advancing our mission to bridge health disparities in Los Angeles.
